Review and Amendments

This policy remains subject to periodic reviews to ensure its continued effectiveness and alignment with the evolving needs of the MM (DU) community. The smoke-free policy underwent periodic review in 2022 to assess its effectiveness and relevance. Amendments were made as needed to address emerging issues related to smoking and tobacco use on campus.

  1. Student-Led Initiatives: The initiatives, such as peer support groups and awareness events, have played a pivotal role in creating a sense of shared responsibility for maintaining a smoke-free campus. These initiatives have become integral to the MM (DU)’s broader health and wellness efforts.
  2. Continuous Improvement: Regular surveys and feedback mechanisms are employed to gauge the effectiveness of the policy and identify areas for enhancement. The insights gathered are used to refine educational materials, communication strategies and support services.

MM(DU) remains committed to providing a campus environment that promotes the health and well-being of all its members. MM(DU) will continue to adapt and refine the Smoke-Free Policy in response to the evolving needs of the community, ensuring that it remains an effective tool in creating a clean, healthy, and supportive learning and working environment.
